This is a reminder e-mail for the upcoming and on going events. Here you go:

1. OCAEOP ELECTIONS- Congratulations to our new board:

Victoria Webber President, Nancy Clark VP In-service, Darrin Reed VP membership, Connie Gordon Treasurer, Jeanne Davis Secretary.

It is not too late to be involved. We have a number of chair positions available: Hospitality (isn’t Jacque a perfect fit?), Photographer and Publications(Adrian...I know this is all you, I mean how much Pip can a girl do!), Promotions and Co-chair for Bosses Night.

Be sure to come out for the instillation event…Sure to be a good time.

May 19^th Installation I will need a definite RSVP form all attending. The price is $25 and includes the meal, non alcoholic beverage, tax and tip. There is a bar available at an additional cost. Due date for the RSVP’s is coming up. Be sure to send your check or cash today to Connie Gordon at OUSD #80 or US Postal Mail (1401 N. Handy St. Orange, 92867) and an RSVP to myself. PLC NIGHT Review- The last meeting and professional learning community night was a huge success. We had four groups including site managers, Assistant to the Principal, Assistants to the Ast. Sup. Or the Superintendent, we had a Secretary I and a Secretary II group and a miscellaneous group for our "everything" gals. We had 2 amazing baskets to raffle for the “New Shirt Printing Fund”; this will cover the set up fees we paid the company, and the Bring a friend raffle. these basket were donated by our own Durinda Klein of Laguna Beach and raised 75 dollars and Victoria Webber of Orange Unified which brought 6 new folks out to be apart of the night! Congrats to Nancy Albers who took both baskets home! Way to goJ We had 18 people in attendance…Great work team.

Dinner! In anticipation of Cinco de Mayo…We had a Mexican themed Pot Luck dinner that was amazing. Thanks to Jacque Keefe of OUSD for organizing us and thanks for everyone who brought out the yummy treats…I am still full!

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER- Congratulations to Scholarship winner Bridget Brennan of Aliso Niguel H.S. She sent us a lovely thank you note that was read at the last meeting. Huge thanks to Nancy Albers for doing a wonderful job in organizing our first scholarship. We look forward to hearing how Bridget does at Berkley in the Fall. We have been invited to her school to present the scholarship. Details to follow.

PIP: Professional Incentive Program. Be sure to stay tuned. Adrian Ober will be sharing with us how to achieve the different levels of recognition in an upcoming meeting this fall. You must be a CAEOP state member to be in this program. Details to follow soon.

7. OCAEOP Shirts- if you missed out on ordering. If you would like to get a shirt please contact Darrin at District #76. Cost for shirts is $32 a piece. The artwork on file and can do more shirts at any time. We were the hit of conference. Be sure to wear them to your next OCAEOP event! We also will be having a basket raffle to off set the art work set up fees. I have one more awesome basket for the next meeting donated by the lovely Durinda Klein of LBUSD.

8. There is still time to RENEW MEMEBRSHIP or JOIN OCAEOP! See attached application for details. You may either send your renewal via district/county mail (#80) or US Postal Mail (1401 N. 9 . Orange Blossoms Newsletter…Victoria” Honored Newsletter Winner” Webber has created our April edition. See attached. If you have anything to add to the next newsletter be sure to share.

10. Callie April Newsletter has been attached above. Be sure to read and see what our friends around the state are doing...Not to mention my fab article on confrence. tee hee.

11. Are you smarter than a 5th grader questions and answers above in case you want to learn a little something you missed in school.

Please feel free to send this on to another friend you think would enjoy the activities we offer. We are always trying got get more districts in the county involved. Although we have only been around 4 years, the organization has roots going back over 70 years. This is an organization to benefit you in what you do, with others just like you!
