CAEOP in Action!

Message from President Lorri Kilby

"Stepping Into Greatness"

Happy Spring!  Our conference in Santa Maria was great, we had wonderful speakers, great workshops and made lots of new friends. We honored our office professional of the year, our administrative professional of the year, the scholarship winners as well as our poster contest winners.  This is an exciting time to be a member of CAEOP.

Please allow me to introduce myself – I am Lorri Kilby your president for 2018-2019.  I have been employed at the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office in the secretarial field for 34 years in beautiful Bakersfield.   I was born and raised in Bakersfield, attended Bakersfield High School, Bakersfield College, and California State University, Bakersfield.    I have served on our local affiliate board, KAEOP, in just about every position since 1985 and I am currently secretary to the KAEOP board.  I have been a board member of CAEOP since 2009 and I am so very honored to be serving as your president.

CAEOP is an amazing organization and offers many opportunities for growth, professional development, meeting other professionals in our field, scholarship opportunities and a lot of fun. I hope that if you have the opportunity to serve on a committee or in a position, that you will consider taking this step.  Please join us this year at one of the many special events including our annual conference in March.  CAEOP will bring growth to you personally and professionally as you are “Stepping into Greatness”.

I love to hear from our members and affiliates, my contact information is in this newsletter.

Enjoy Spring!

Lorri Kilby,President, 2018-19
